Laboratory Specialist

Department:  Quality Control

Job Duties:

• Accurately and promptly performs all analyses described in the Quality Control Plan, ensuring that results comply with internal specifications, quality limits for production, standards and norms;
• Responsible for receiving, preparing, testing and verifying the quality of alternative fuels to ensure consistency with plant requirements and environmental regulations;
• Maintains the proper operation and usage of AFR laboratory equipment and ensures their regular calibration according to standards;
• Responsible for the processes of receiving, preparing, inspecting, and archiving internal/external samples. Ensures proper storage, retention time, and disposal of samples from the warehouse, maintaining appropriate records;
• Perform the activities of the well cement laboratory to obtain precise and neat analytical and physical test results, ensuring compliance with acceptance, production, and API 10A standards;
• Support shift work on demand as required to ensure continuous laboratory operations;
• Ensures the accurate documentation of activities in compliance with standards and the preparation and storage of laboratory records by tracking internal and external samples;
• Identifies, investigates, and reports any confirmed deviations in testing results from specifications for all products tested in the laboratory and maintains records. Timely informs the Laboratory Manager about results and non-conformities;
• Accountable for the verification and calibration of laboratory equipment and methods to achieve precise analysis results;
• Monitors and verifies accuracy of quality data and test results, maintains a database of laboratory results, performs statistical analysis, and prepares quality reports;
• Guarantees the precision of analysis results and records, ensuring the confidentiality and impartiality of results outside the organization. Monitors the correct entry of data into LIMS;
• Responsible for maintaining adequate stocks of consumables and other materials and chemicals to ensure continuous laboratory operations;
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning the equipment used; notifies the Laboratory Manager in case of malfunctions;
• Ensures the cleanliness of the laboratory at all times;
• Performs additional tasks assigned by the Laboratory Manager in line with their responsibilities;
• Acts in compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) rules;
• Adheres to company HSE guidelines to create a safe working environment for themselves and surrounding employees.

Requirements: 

• Higher education in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering;
• Relevant work experience minimum 1 year;
• Microsoft Office Suite;
• Attention to detail;
• Azerbaijani – Native; Knowledge of English speaking and writing
